This is interesting its a marketing campaign from McCain for their new microwaveable jacket potato. Bus shelters in 10 UK cities have been fitted with a 3D poster featuring a jacket potato. When the button on the display is pressed it releases the smell of an oven backed jacket potato.

This article proves that sometimes it does pay to air your views on a product. After receiving a letter from a 3 year old girl Sainsbury’s have taken the decision to rebrand their tiger bread as giraffe bread. In the letter 3 year old Lily said that she thought the bread looked much more like a giraffe than a tiger. She received a reply to her letter and a voucher. The reply letter has since received a great deal of coverage on social networks and Sainsbury’s have renamed the bread. What a nice piece of advertising.

article-0-117CF3A7000005DC-719_468x407If you have a bit of spare cash to spend then you might be interested in these sunglasses. Costing £26,000 they are made by Bentley to compliment the £225,000 Bentley Mulsanne. I guess if you can afford to spend that much on a car them you might have enough left over for the glasses. The sunglasses have been hand crafted from platinum with engraved surfaces to reflect the style of a Bentley’s interior quilted leather. Each pair is made to order to the exact specifications of the buyer. The frames can then be engraved with the owner’s initials or decorated with precious stones at an extra cost.

According to this article a jar of Loyd Grossman sauce has recently caused a case of botulism. The public have been warned not to eat the curry sauce after two people were taken to hospital with botulism poisoning. The affected sauce is the 350g Loyd Grossman korma sauce with a best before date of February 2013 and batch code 1218R 07:21. This has now been subject to a full recall. Although only one jar has been known to have been contaminated people are being warned not to eat any products from this batch as a precaution.

According to this article the Co-op is planning a move into the online grocery market. Although the exact details of the what they will offer is unclear it appears they are planning to launch an online grocery service within the next year. Personally I really like many of the Co-op’s products which I find are often superior to those on offer at their larger rivals. The main problem that I find, however, is our local Co-op has a very limited range and often does not stock what I need. It is certainly not somewhere I could currently do my weekly shop and so I tend to use it, only for top-up shopping. If I could order from a larger range and have my shopping delivered I would certainly consider switching supermarkets. I will watching the developments with interest.

Whilst travelling the other day I noticed that more and more people seem to be using their daily commute not only to catch up on email and read books on their mobile devices but also to play games on mobile casinos. If you do like to gamble it can certainly be a good way to make your daily commute go faster, a few games of Mobile Blackjack and I guess you have reached your destination before you know it. Looking around there seem to be a lot of sites out there that offer different games both iPhone Casinos and those aimed at the Android user. This one in particular offers an introduction for those who are new to mobile gambling and require an overview of what’s out there and the sorts of prizes that are available to be won. It also offers a comparison of some of the top mobile casinos so that you can check out whether they are compatible with your mobile device before playing and what sort of gaming experience is available. If you want to know more about any of the featured websites there are links to more in depth reviews including what sort of introductory offers are available for new users, what games are available, how long the website in question has been around and what currencies they accept. If you find that the avocados normally available in the supermarket are a little on the small side then these giant avocados could be just the thing. Much larger than the size we are used to seeing in our supermarket, these are about the size of a melon. They will be available from Waitrose priced at £4.99. Personally I’m not sure I could use it all before it started to go off, I guess you must really need to like avocado.

HP sauce have recently changed the recipe in an effort to make it more healthy. The sauce now contains less salt than previously, a change you would think would make customers happy. It seems, not, however. as many people have been complaining the flavour of the sauce has been ruined. The sauce used to contain 2.1g of salt per 100g but now contains just 1.3g. Fans of the sauce have complained that the change has ruined the familiar tangy taste that they love. Although Heinz have taste tested the product with good results it seems many people disagree and have already vowed to stop buying the new recipe sauce.
